Prerequisites

Before you start you need to download and install the Arduino IDE

Arduino runs on Mac, Linux and Windows. However we don’t recommend performing the setup on a Linux machine as this can brick your device, though there is a fix in our troubleshooting section.

Once installed, open up Arduino and head to File > Preferences, towards the bottom of the preferences window, paste the below URL into the Additional Board Manager URLs text box:

https://raw.githubusercontent.com/jLynx/MalDuino_Boards/master/IDE_Board_Manager/package_malduino_index.json

If the text box is already occupied, you can add multiple URLs by clicking the small icon to the right of the text box, and pasting in one URL per line.

Click OK to save your preferences

Open the board manager by hitting Tools > Board > Boards Manager... In the textbox search for malduino then select MalDuino BadUSB Boards and hit install.
